  • Ensure each room is clean and tidy, ready for inspection
  • Replace dead light globes, consider high output globes to provide more light
  • Open all window furnishings to allow natural light to fill the home
  • Clean windows and repair if necessary
  • Repair or replace bathroom grout or sealant
  • Polish bathroom fittings, sparkling bathrooms make an excellent impression
  • Wax or polish timber floors and steam clean carpets
  • Assess your paintwork – clean and repair the walls or consider investing in new paint. This makes the whole house look and smell new.
  • Consider the temperature. In winter make sure your home is warm, in summer make sure you have the air conditioning working
  • Keep pets out of the way on open house days and open the windows to allow a fresh breeze to fill your home
  • A fresh scent can make all the difference. Consider using air fresheners or placing fresh flowers in key locations.
